Traveling to Alaska, especially if it’s off the beaten track, can be exciting and part of the adventure.

What and How to Pack:
Use soft-sided suitcases or duffel bags. When checking them in, remove straps and buckles which tend to hang up on conveyor belts.

Guests arrive in Anchorage, then fly to Kodiak city. On a small 7-seat aircraft, you are taken to the village of Old Harbor. Guests requiring an over-night in Anchorage or Kodiak should check these resources and points of interest:

Old Harbor
Before leaving Kodiak to Old Harbor, please remember to call us when your plane is about to depart. You will be met at the airstrip and taken to the Old Harbor Lodge, where you can get settled before heading out on your adventure. A packed lunch and snacks will be provided to take with you and dinner will be waiting when you return at the end of the day.
