Kodiak Combos Kicks Off the 2nd Annual Tournament
Kodiak Combos kicked off the 2nd annual tournament by turning in the first top 3 fish with clients Greg Razo, Marvin Adams, and Dave Goade of Anchorage. Of the first 3 days fishing, we were the only boat to deliver fish out of 5 other boats. Dave Goade finally landed a fish and it was the biggest at 47.5 pounds. He had hooked into 4 the day before and received the nickname for LDR, for Long Distance Release! You can't win unless you land em!

Kodiak Diesel Installs New Volvo D4 DPH Package
Kodiak Diesel has over 40 years of experiences with engine installs and has supported Jeff Peterson's operation through the years. The new Volvo D4 is a high tech, fuel efficient 4 cylinder with 225 horse power that is commerically rated and is mated to a new DPH outdrive especially made for the D4 engine, this package includes nickel bronze alloy dou props and electronic shifting, all components are integrated. Kodiak Diesel is a certified Volvo installer with years of experience and expertise.

Kodiak King Salmon Tournament Extended
The Island wide king salmon tournament has been extended to May 17th through July 6th. In addition to the weigh station at Kodiak Islands Seafoods, a possible weigh station may be in Old Harbor.

First 50 Pound King of the Season

Congratulations to Rick Hayward for landing the first 50 pound troll caught king salmon of the season!

Old Harbor/Kodiak Island King Salmon Derbies
Old Harbor Flight School is having a King salmon derby for the month of April. The Kodiak Aquaculture Association is also having a tourney for the month of May. I have several openings in April, May and June for giant Kings. Stop by my booth 26 at the Sullivan Arena Thursday and Friday March 29th and 30th- I'll have t-shirts, videos and sea otter scarves for sale, and for those who are already booked, please stop by Thursday or Friday for your free gift. Thursday doors open at 4 PM - 9 PM and Friday 12 to 9 PM. See you there!

Kodiak Combos in Anchorage this week
Last chance to book some dates for the 2007 fishing season. I'll be at the Sullivan arena next to the main entrance in booth 26 Thursday and Friday, Gary Sampson will be at the booth Saturday and Sunday. Stop by, say hi and check out the dates we have left. Make sure you demand to be guided by a local expert! I’ll have some Alaska Native sea otter handicraft in the booth for sale, scarves and pillows (Thursday and Friday only), so stop by, the show starts at 4pm on Thursday and goes till 9pm and then opens at noon on Friday till 9pm.
